A third call for proposals for short research projects aimed at improving farmed fish welfare in Asia has been launched. As with the first and second calls, there are two main streams of funding: Firstly for practical projects focusing on welfare during harvesting, transport, temporary holding and slaughter. The second stream focuses on methods for communicating welfare issues and engaging with all stakeholders. For this call however, there is also a third stream which is specifically for existing projects to add further activities. These may be additional research tasks based on findings during the initial project, or additional dissemination activities to further share and publicise the original research findings. The deadline for applications is the 12th July 2024. However, unlike the previous calls, the third call projects will be for 4 months only. Full details on our Research Calls Page.
