Trevor Telfer, John Bostock and other colleagues from the Institute of Aquaculture contributed to a recent Business Engagement Event organised by the University of stirling Faculty of Natural Sciences. Over 40 local organisations participated including several directly involved in the aquaculture sector. The event was an opportunity to share and discuss the many ways in which commercial and  third sector organisations can benefit from collaboration with University staff and the rewards of engaging with student projects and placements and the benefits they get from this. it was also an opportunity for University staff to receive feedback on past projects and suggestions for further development.

Separate workshops were held to discuss engangement with undergraduates, taught postgraduates, research postgarduates and other types of collaboration. The event encouraged all participants to widen and deepen collaborative activities.
