FAI Farms, a UK based organisation also has funding through Open Philanthropy to work on the welfare of farmed tilapia. As part of the project they have launched an online course in tilapia welfare.

The course is aimed at anyone working with tilapia aquaculture production or studying aquaculture. The aim is to provide the knowledge on how to implement welfare practices in daily routines from hatchery to slaughter.

The modules are available free of charge, and when complete, modules will be available on tilapia welfare indicators, nutrition, health, environment, and tilapia humane slaughter.

After completing each module, participants have the option to do a final quiz and get a free certificate of completion.
