Research Week - PechaKucha Presentations

The sustainable Aquaculture Group participated in the University of Stirling Research Week through Pecha Kucha style presentations on our research themes and projects.  Each presentation is 20 slides of 20 seconds each with the aim of communicating key ideas in an accessible format. 

William Leschen presented work in Malawi supported by the Scottish Government

For the session on Global Security and Resilience, William Leschen presented on three projects to stimulate the development of commercial aquaculture in Malawi with support from the Scottish Government whilst Richard Newton gave a presentation on Circular economies in seafood production and how these can range in scale from local to trans-global.

In a subsequent session focusing on the theme "Living Well", David Little presented on "Farming fish improves the livelihoods and health of the most vulnerable in Bangladesh" and Mahmoud Eltholth gave a talk on "A shrimp and yoghurt cocktail: New approaches to keeping your favourite seafood healthy" which presented some results from the IMAQulate Project.
