The Sustainable Aquaculture Research Group hosted a small delegation from Hainan University, China, on Friday 4th November. The group are in Scotland for 3 months undertaking a programme of training and visits. The delegation also represent the Hainan International Island Strategy Team for International Opportunity Development. The delegation included staff from the Schools of Economics and Management, Tourism, Law and Maritime as well as the College of Agriculture. Meetings were held with Dave Little, Trevor Telfer, Andrew Desbois and John Bostock. Several areas of common interest were identified for future collaboration spanning marine ecology modelling and  coastal zone management, mariculture and marine biotechnology, tilapia production, international trade and marketing, and opportunities for aquaculture in food and drink tourism.  The visit was organised byLuna Chao Guo of Fusion Cultural Development Ltd with Sheila Mills, Min Jin and Shui Yan helping with arrangements in Stirling.
