Will Leschen joins High level planning meeting for Africa

High Level Consultation: Africa-Britain-China Agricultural Research, 2nd Nov. 2015

A new research programme ..... Africa - Britain - China Agricultural Technology Research Scoping Study Meeting 2nd November 2015 at the Wellcome Trust London .

The UK Department for International Development (DFID) in conjunction with CABI, Development Finance International, UK CDS and Elsevier held a consultation meeting for key stakeholders to give feedback on previous UK Chinese collaborative research programmes working in SS Africa - and then the ...design and setting up of a new trilateral innovative impact driven DFID funded applied research programme to develop SS African agriculture across value chains and borders.

The meeting was attended by Will Leschen from the Institute of Aquaculture and included other UK Chinese and SS African stakeholders from: The John Innes Centre, Univ of East Anglia, Royal Veterinary College, BBSRC, GALVmed, Natural Resources Institute, Landell Mills, DEFRA, Chinese Academy of Tropical Agriculture Sciences, FARA, and the Lilongwe Univ of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR)
